Firstly, I detest that I “have” to use Facebook. I wish my friends chose to use other more responsible companies to share news through. But they don’t. So I use it, and I do it because it’s the easiest way to to keep up to date with folks back home and my friends here. But I’m not wanting to get into the evilness of Facebook in this post, but rather explain how I interact with it.

I’m finding it really hard to balance my excitement of going home next year with all the wonderful things about living in Cornwall. I’m terribly excited about seeing my dogs again, about having them living with me and the company they provide. My friends. How do you balance that with such wonderful people here too, not to mention my oldest and closest. But I can’t help missing the folks from CT so much. There some people there that are very special to me and I need them in my life.…

If you ever lived on a farm in South Africa, then this will crack you up. How many variations of similar things I’ve heard I cannot tell you, but loads 😉 Boss: “Bongani, do you believe in Life after Death?” Bongani: “Ack-tually, no, Sir!” Boss: “Why not?” Bongani: “Well, basickully, dêr is no proof that it ack-tually exists, Boss.” Boss: “Well, there is proof now.” Bongani: “Hai-bo! The dealer tells him that all he has to do is to keep a jar of Vaseline handy and put it on the chrome before it rains, and everything will be fine. He happily pays for the bike and leaves.

Sea, Salts and Sail was one of the first festivals I attended here in Cornwall, back in 2008, and living in the village at the time it was real treat for me even if the racing was cancelled that year as we got to still sail on the Veracity. This year the weather played along and it was absolutely fantastic, a brilliant weekend of sailing, friends, music and rum.

It’s that time of the year again folks. The time for the best rugby competition for the best teams. The Tri-Nations. This is just a quick post to get things up and running. I’ll be updating this post and adding new ones. Check out the tags “rugby” and/or “3n” for these posts. To get the ball rolling, here is a summary of the teams this year in order of who I think rocks…: South Africa New Zealand Australia Preview: NZ vs SA
