That mountain is so steep a baboon would need a walking stick to get up it. Talking about the new radio telescope going to be build in the karoo, “well lets hope they don’t ‘frak’ it up!”. (Referring to the fraking controversy in the karoo) On a car that stopped in the middle of road indicating … I could stick my arsehole out the window and make more light than that! Referring to the cars dim indicator…

I like Sundays. It seems the world seems to slow down a bit. As if everyone takes a breath and is a little closer to how life should be. Spending time doing the things you like doing. Alan Watts the philosopher talks about choosing to spend your time on tasks that you enjoy doing rather than choosing them for financial reward only. If not he says; “You will spend your life completely wasting your time. You will be doing things you don’t like doing in order to go on living…
I was going to sit down and do some work but I’m just mentally exhausted. I not had a day off in three weeks so I think I’ll just spend this time writing a short hello to my friends.
Well. Some of you must be wondering what the hell is going on with me. Why you not heard anything or seen anything of me. The fact of the matter is it’s not you, it’s me. A cliché for sure… but still true in this case. I just need some more time to myself folks. Bear with me on this. I’ll be back and 2012 is looking positive. What I will try do is update you more regularly here (my blog) and on Google+ (time to dump Facebook and support a company…
Just sent an email reaching out to the head of HR at SANParks. (www.sanparks.co.za) Lets see what comes of it! Thanks to Matt for the lead.
Hello my Friends, A short update on what’s going at the moment. I’m still staying with my folks in King Williams Town ans suspect I’ll be here till end of September. If nothing has come up work-wise by then I’m going to head back to Cape Town/surrounds and just pick up some bar work to tide me over and pay the rent. On the work front though I’ve been giving some great contacts to follow-up with via my old friend Matt who was visiting SA and whom I saw last…
Caught up with an old friend Matt Ramsden today for lunch with his wife Heather and their daughter Katie. Great to see them, been years since I last saw them and great to seem them while they where out on holiday here for a couple weeks. Matt also gave me a contact to get in touch with for some conservation work. Hoping something comes that! Safe travels Matt and Heather and look forward to seeing you both again soon.
Hello Friends, Wanted to update you about things, going to be short. So jobless at the moment and still looking for opportunities so if you hear of anything let me know. My next move is to contact conservation groups and see if I can find work doing some good in this shitty world we live in. Living in King Williams Town with my folks at present to save on rent and stuff. King has a long history and used to be a stunning country town. It’s a shit hole now…
Hello Friends, I hope this finds you very well. As you know from my previous posts, I’ve recently returned from the UK. I also wanted to let folks know that I’m freelance as of today and that if I can be of any help, give me a shout! I’m open to anything, but if given a choice this is the kind of thing I’m looking to get involved in; I’d hoped on returning from the UK that I’d be able to stay in Cape Town and set-up a “base” there…
