What lekker weekend. Great parkrun on Saturday morning, 26:59. (that 25min looking closer now!) Swimming and sundowners at the Gonubie river/beach. Stunning chow and evening out at Sanook. If you not been go, atmosphere and setting is great and the food fantastic. And do have the chocolate brownies for dessert… I know of only one better brownie out there! Ginger & Co. Then breakfast at Gonubie Hotel, stunning view this morning over the river mouth with the fog just dissipating. Lunch with Mum then back to the wonderful and amazing…

General stuff about this and that.
Tough run today with a stiff easterly wind blowing. So the whole section along the front of KB and onto the beach was into the wind. But still got a good time though so I’m really surprised and chuffed. Four PB in a row now… not sure that streak going to last much longer though! Did a 26:59, hey it’s still a 26 and not a 27 😉 That 25 min goal seems closer now! My stats so far and today’s full results.
Lovely day out on Sunday with friends at Tea in the Trees in Chintsa, stunning little market and restaurant. Picked up Dru, Rob and Nicole and we made our way out there with the intention of finding a nice spot for lunch. The market was on and they have some great stalls. We’d booked a table at Arena for lunch so we did not eat there, just stopped for some coffee in the trees 🙂 The restaurant is beautiful though, nestled in the trees so will be back from a…
So I’m a runner now. Go figure. Even ran to Gulu and back with Benji yesterday (about 8.5 km’s on the beach) and then had a surprisingly quick park run here, 27:58 today (5kms), new PB and third PB in a row. I’m keen as berries to hit 25 mins around Feb time. Wish me luck! My stats so far and today’s results.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HV9XNhl5hHU Some great footage Jonathan shot from the day spent on the beach when Jan, Matt and the boys came out for the day. Super fun day and Mal had a ball too 😉 Below is a clip of Mal taking a tumble which I managed to capture. Bless, think his ego took a little dent there but it was a good laugh!

Been some time since I posted some proper news . So thought I’d do a good catchup now that I have some time off, share news, some pics and the like. It’s a long one, be forewarned, but there some lovely pics and a lot going on so stick with it. Here a few sunrises from November to enjoy first up (click to enlarge the images). December’s. Yesterday an absolute gem came into my life, Mal. An absolutely beautiful animal in his nature and looks. Not only has he already made himself at home, he has made himself a little home in my heart. Mal is Red Irish Setter and is now six months old. He had quite an adventure getting here from Natal Mal did. He was originally supposed to travel Tuesday but it was postponed till Friday. On Friday morning he left his siblings and made his way to the Durban airport where he would…
