The news is full today about the Brisbane flood. 15 dead so far and many many missing. In Brazil “100s” dead in floods and in Sri Lanka “100000’s displaced” nobody know how many dead… I used to live less than hour away from where this happening right now in Queensland and trust that old friends whom I’ve not spoken to for a very long time are all safe and well. When I look around me I know we are not ready to deal with this if it happens to us…

Well there has not been much to talk about spearfishing wise the past few weeks. The weather has eventually turned and winter is upon us. I think I’ll manage a few more dives still, but it’s just about time to dry out the suit and pack all the gear away for the season. But before I do that I wanted to post some pics of a good week’s spearfishing we had a few weeks back. Just not had the time to write this up so apolgies if I’m a bit vaugue on the details.
Well, funny you should ask. I spent the morning diving in the harbour surrounded by the diesel from our sunken boat…mmm not a good look for the Aquila it’s got to be said! Well we managed to get a line on her and pull her out. So she’s busy draining as we speak… Hopefully we can get the engine started later, if so then mostly no harm done. More later.
