I come across some thoughtful and inspirational quotes quite often and have recently started to record them so I can read them again when I’m looking for a lift or some insight. So now I’m putting these in one place so I can share. Thanks to my wonderful friends who often contribute to this list.

An Obituary printed in the London Times……… Interesting and sadly, rather true

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

With the Springboks first test this weekend, they play Wales, here is a little tribute from 2009 Tri Nations, the toughest rugby competition there is. Well I braved the 8 or 9 degree water to have my first dive of the year. Was fantastic to get back in the water. Did not see anything for the pan, but lots of life about. Saw a small bass, a horse mackerel, shoal of pipe fish and loads of small pollock. Amazing how the cold saps you though. I only just managed to peel myself off the couch to post this! Sad news tonight. Speaking to my Mum earlier and she told me my lovely Chloe is not doing so well. Her hips are causing her a lot of pain. She now has to have a weekly injection to help. Miss you Chloe, wish I could give you a big hug you big teddy bear.
