Some light hearted advice! Ignore it at your peril. (Thanks Muddy for passing on these useful tips!) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be…
Hello Friends, I hope this finds you very well. As you know from my previous posts, I’ve recently returned from the UK. I also wanted to let folks know that I’m freelance as of today and that if I can be of any help, give me a shout! I’m open to anything, but if given a choice this is the kind of thing I’m looking to get involved in; I’d hoped on returning from the UK that I’d be able to stay in Cape Town and set-up a “base” there…

I guess it’s all relative but it does make me think that I’m asking to much sometimes. I thought I was coming home, but home has changed. The “village” I’d hoped to settle down in for awhile, Hout Bay, is no village any longer…it was never a tiny place while I lived here, but rather “sleepy” and laid back is how I’d describe it. …
It’s Tuesday afternoon and I’m sitting outside enjoying the lovely sun on my back. I’ve just finished a busy day but really wanted to write this post to share the news and pics from the weekend.
I spent the weekend out in Simon’s Town with a close friend of mine and some newly acquired friends, just from this weekend in fact 🙂 I’d only intended to stay on till Saturday but the way things turned out I stayed on to enjoy a lovely weekend break.
After reading this post from the Greenpeace blog on the critically important battle going on right now for the Arctic, this paragraph really struck home for me;
As Ben Metcalfe, one of the original Greenpeace crew once said; Once you have witnessed an injustice, you cannot claim ignorance as a defence for inaction. You make an ethical choice: to act – or not.
