Whoop whoop. First dive since December. Tough conditions with the wind chopping things up good and proper but it was clean and warm so happy days. Took this fella (Blue fish) at about 8-10m on a bit of reef in the middle of the bay at KB. Not huge but got two great fillets off him 🙂 Saw a beauty of about 4kg+ on the same spot but with the wind it was really difficult to stay on the reef and I lost the mark before I saw it again……
So today, officially, the registration of the plot went through. So step one…Â done! WHOOHOO! It’s a big deal for me, a real sense of achievement. Something to anchor me here. To call home. I know there is a long way to go yet before I spend my first night under my own roof…but I’ll get there. And I’m keen to do it as soon as possible. So some sacrifices to be made over the next few months to try speed things up, but it’s going to be worth it…

Love them. It’s my birthday, holidays and summer. But goodness, I been so busy. It’s the morning of the 21st today already and…

I could say that too. It’s been incredibly busy this week with work. But it’s gone well and really it’s not what I meant when I said “what a week”. A couple of months ago things changed for me. Best way to describe it would be to imagine yourself nice and content having…
As the headline and image above suggests, I been on the beach a bit this week. It’s been incredibly busy with work (a good thing) but I’m so lucky that I seem to be finding a good balance of focusing on work and taking the time I need for myself too. It’s so important to make my life here sustainable. I need the work to pay my way and to work towards my goals, but without the balance I’d be unhappy, stressed and well probably quite grumpy. I don’t like…
Had a lovely morning and lunch with my Mum and close friends Dru, Rob and Nicole today at the amazing Avalon Market in Kidd’s Beach. Always such a treat and love spending it with those so close and special to me. x
