parkrun-pb-24-48SUB 25min! Wow. Thanks to Benj for all the runs we been doing and to Henry on Saturday for helping with some motivation up the hill to the finish! Was a great morning for running and having done a strong 8km run on Thursday I thought I’d give it a bit of a go and see if I could get that elusive sub-25. Ran the first part hard up the hill and through the bush, then took a breather along the front just keeping a steady pace. Henry picked my up along the front about half way and told me I was on pace for a sub 25… so kept it going and as I turned on the beach stretched the legs a bit but when I got to pirates walk I was tired. That’s when this amazing community just blows me away, there was Henry waiting for me again (he’s a faster runner than me) and he ran the whole way in with me, giving me encouragement all the way. Thanks man, so awesome!

So that’s running a kilometre in less than 5 minutes on average. Wow. Man I can’t actually believe it. Had you said I could run that fast for that long a year ago, I’d have laughed at you and told you mad. Now I want to go faster…

Kian’s 50th Park Run today! Well done Kian! I ran with Kian today and we had a lekker run. Kian dragged my butt into this running business… and I would not have got started had it not been for his encouragement. Thanks man. Wishing that knee a speedy recovery and looking forward to another 50 🙂

Nice run on Saturday. My focus was just have a steady run and put in a good time. So sub 26 which is good for me but over 30 seconds of my PB from last month. So that’s a good indicator for me now where I can push a bit more to crack my March goal of 24:55.
