April goal: 24:40 (smashed at 24:26!)
March best time: 24:48
25/04 – 24:37 (PB) (full results)
Good run today! 11 seconds off my PB so pretty chuffed with that. Good strong run with Kian again through the bush and especially along the front. That is definitely helping my times! So thinking now about next month’s goal, also keeping in mind I’ll probably only have one or two races in May as I’m away. Lets aim for 24:15 in May I think. Or perhaps what I’ll do is run with Jean and help him push for a sub-30. Mmm, we’ll see how he feels next run. Thanks to everyone for the training runs, the fun and getting miles in the legs. Loving it.

20 seconds off previous PB… I did not expect that on Saturday! We had Est’s birthday party the night before and celebrated Michelle Lawrence’s too. So a few glasses of wine consumed… And I was struggling! But ran with Kian and he set a really good pace through the bush and along the sea. I think that made the difference. So when I made a push up the pirates walk I must have already been up. Chuffed to go sub 24:30 🙂 Thanks Kian.
Hat tip to Benj to who came first and nailed it with a 21:43… flipping heck that’s some running Benj!
Note! The times on the results are wrong for me. I’m shown as 5th 23:38 but I was 6th at 24:26.

Well chuffed with my new PB today on parkrun, 24:46! I thought I was having a difficult run, i.e. going slow, especially when Benj and Sean disappeared into the distance along the front. Turns out I was huffing and puffing so hard because I was running nice and fast 🙂 A good problem to have! Did not run last parkrun as I was having a lekker Lavender Blue breakfast with a big mug of coffee…but did two nice runs in the week. Both great. One to Gulu and back over the sand which always works you. Then through the bush on Wednesday towards Palm Springs where we discovered a great trail. Some tough hills and Benj got a bit of a sprint on there at some points which had my tongue hanging out at the end…but a great run. That helped the lungs a bit today and in getting my new PB I’m sure. Hay!
