Change is needed, so be it

A warm hello to you my friends!  As a few of you might know already I’m implementing a lot of change this year and I wanted to update everyone as to what is going on!

When I moved to the UK I had two primary goals, a) to try save my relationship with Kathryn and b) to achieve financial stability.

Unfortunately after nearly 6 years, neither of these goals have been realised. Although Kathryn and I managed to rekindle some of the happiness we once shared, it ended up as a complete disaster. Unfortunately, the opportunity I thought I once had with work is also no longer a real option.

A few months after arriving the UK, I started working for a company called SurveyShack. I will not go into the detail, I’ll just say that it has not worked out. Those close to me know the truth and that’s all that matters.

So basically I ended up asking myself, why? Why am still here? My home is in Africa, I am an African. This I cannot explain, it just is. It is who I am at my very core.

I have spent an absolutely wonderful two and half years in Cornwall. I have met some wonderful people, experienced amazing things, learnt new skills and added new members to my family of friends. I am forever grateful for the warm welcome I received and the loving friends I’ve made. But now it’s time to go home.

So I’ll be returning to Cape Town at the end of April. Where this path will lead me I do not know. But it’s a path of my choosing and I’m excited at the possibilities that each day will bring.

This is not common knowledge yet, so please do not make to much noise just yet. I’ll keep you up to date as it all happens over the next few weeks.

Your friend
B
