I was going to sit down and do some work but I’m just mentally exhausted. I not had a day off in three weeks so I think I’ll just spend this time writing a short hello to my friends.
Had a really nice day today. Got up early as is my way and prepared a chicken curry which I let stew for a few hours before we had some for lunch. It’s been back on the stove since then simmering away slowy, man it’s going to be even better tomorrow.
Just got back from running the dogs a bit. I usually run myself too but twisted my ankle early this week so still bit slow…anyway they love it and the exercise if good for everyone. Especially since we had a few days of good rains which means they been inside a lot so good for them to burn of the excess energy.
The rain has been a relief. I never thought I’d be happy to see grey skies and rains for days on end having survived the UK winters. But 40+ heat day in day out is no joke. In fact it’s fcking ridiculous. What’s the point if you not under the sea spearfishing or sitting in the pool with a few cold beers? I had neither so I been fairly grumpy about the weather…guess we never happy about the weather…
I’ll be up at 5 tomorrow to get some more work done so going to have a nice chill out in front of the tele this eve. Started watching Lost again and enjoying it even if I know the ending. (man I’mm still pissed the ending was so crap…)
A plan is forming slowing about my next adventure. I think I’ll be moving to Plettenberg Bay if I can find a suitable place to stay. I think it ticks the boxes. I’ve spent some time there, holidayed here a couple times and people I know have lived there in the past. We’ll see, it’s just an idea for now.
Work has been crazy. It’s just completely absorbed every drop of my time (and good humour in some cases..). It’s good that I have work… but it’s been hard as I’m working for less than half of what I should be to just work in and get by. I hope from next month to be able to be more selective and start seeing the benefit of the hard work now. Check out http://brendanpiater.com and http://arcticonline.com/website-design-services for news on work. I should be posting quite a bit of news there from about mid-Feb onwards as some of these projects complete.
Well, that’s my news for now folks. Please send news, I may not reply at the moment… but I really enjoy and appreciate hearing about what’s happening with folks.
