Shaun, this is just for you. Learn these three drinks and you’ll be the king of the summer pool party man 😉 Just stay stocked up on Havana Club, coke, soda and limes and you good to go! The Cuba Libre! My favourite summer cocktail! Mojito I would use two teaspoons of white cane sugar rather than sugar syrup and you can just squeeze the limes by hand too. Caipirinha In SA, if you can get Mainstay Cane that is about the closest to Cachaça I think, otherwise a good…

I’d steam them in white wine, garlic and shallots and serve with crusty brown bread and butter. Beautiful! But I was a bit bored of that so I asked my old mate Ross what…

I thought their season has ended but looks like there still some about, happy days. Tomatoes are coming in thick and fast now from the garden. Fantastic in a mixed lettuce salad from the garden! Now all I need is a goat so I can make some decent goats cheese to go with that. Later today I’m putting up an owl box in the large bramler tree outside. They a huge help with keeping rat numbers down which have exploded with no real predators about. Will post some pics later.
