White lion cubs

I had an amazing privilege this weekend. I got to play with white lion cubs. Getting to touch and interact one on one with lion cubs is rare enough, but white lions even more so!  I had to remind myself that this kind of experience is shared by only a very few and I’m extremely grateful to have had this opportunity. Also got to see a tigers, cheetah and more! Happy days!

Thanks to to my friends who took me. Glad we choose the lion park in the end 🙂

Lucky you! I know this is a bit of a weird question, but did they smell? And I don’t mean nasty!

To continue ……….. if you were blind folded, could you tell what creature was in your arms?

Not at all actually! Now I don’t know if that’s because they in a clean enviroment, that they clean themselves or of they people that care for them clean them. Perhaps all three 🙂 I know full grown lions are incredibly smelly, particularly their breath! But then if you getting to smell a full grown lions breath I think you may have “bigger” problems 😉

Thanks Sascha! Was a real treat that was. Guessing you all back safe, will be in touch soon to hear about the adventures!

Trayl, ya Boet, I hear you. Make a trip to London Zoo, it’s pretty good but perhaps it will make you miss Africa more. Nice to be “closer” to nature for a bit though. They been doing a lot of renovations to make the enviroment better for the animals. The gorilla’s are amazing there and they have a breeding pack of African wild dogs too! Very rare!

Aaah! Lucky you! Where can I get one? 🙂
How come they are white? Are they actually albino?

Actually now Ive watched the film footage I can see they are not albino as their eyes are not pink.

Hey Jon, off the top of my head I think it’s just a genetic variation, so not albino as such just a different colour. I think you can buy one from them, but I think the missus might have something to say about the price tag! 😉 Hope you all well otherwise. B
