After 13 days back in South Africa I’m just that little bit closer to “home”. I arrived in Cape Town on Monday and staying at some wonderful friends Mike and Lindy. It’s been amazing coming back to Cape Town, it’s lost none of it’s beauty and natural wonder. How I missed the mountains. I’m sitting here writing this from the veranda of the cottage I’m staying in which over looks the stables and has have a wonderful view of the mountains.
Right now I have squirrels running across the front and an Egyptian Goose walking on the grass, all in the shadow of these amazing mountains.
Over the next two weeks I got a lot to still sort out. I still need find a place to stay and have a list as long as my arm of tasks that need doing. But when I get stressed out I just look outside at this view and remember why I’ve done it.
I had a fantastic catchup with good friend Quinton Cronje last night who is expecting his fourth daughter. Grats to you and Hannah, Quint.
Not that much news as yet I’m afraid. I have limited transport so spending most of my time at home. But as you can see that not exactly roughing it. Also I’m working still so got shit do man! I’m away this weekend to a friends farm which should be stunning. Hoping the weather holds!
More news next week.
